Which one is better?

I like to save pictures, videos and songs.  Now I just save all those files in my pen drive and laptop.  It’s getting full already.  My friends suggest buying an external hard disk to allow me store more files in it.

Actually it is not necessary to keep those files in an external hard disk.  They also can be kept in DVD/CD.  Plus, its cost is much cheaper compared to the external.

External Hard Disk 2.5inch
External Hard Disk 3.5inch

There are two types of hard disk which 3.5 inch and 2.5 inch.  People used to carry of the one that 2.5 inches as it’s size is much smaller and lighter.

Its cost depends on its capacity.  The bigger space in it, the more expensive it will be.  According to price in lowyat.net forum, the price of external hard disk is in between RM200 to RM500.  For External hard disk 3.5” with capacity 1Terrabyte (1TB), it may be up to RM1k.

DVD Or External Hard Disk?

As for now, I’m just using DVD as its cost much lower.  I do want to grab one of those external hard disk but I think it is too much for now.  Compared to the external, a DVD costs not more than RM2.  That’s why I said, save it on DVD is cheaper as long as you have a DVD burner.
This video shows you how to burn a file on CD/DVD.

 Thanks for reading. Bye! :)

This Is It

We always talk about it.  But not many know what it is.

This is it.  GPS (Global Positioning System)
My dad bought it when I was in first semester.  He uses it while driving to Sri Iskandar to see me.  At that time, we rent a homestay for one night to spent time together because I haven’t seen my family for quite a long time.  In the evening, my dad decided to go to Ipoh as he wanted to go to Jaya Jusco.  When he started driving, I wondered why he doesn’t use the GPS.  He said, “never mind, we can find the way without using it.” OK.  That time was about 3:35 pm.
45 minutes later… I saw he was like confused looking at the signboard along the road.
I know he doesn’t really sure where were we at that time.  I just keep quiet and watch him.
We were in the car about one hour but I still didn’t see any signboard to Ipoh.  Finally he said, “I think I have taken the wrong way”.
My mother was fell asleep as she was so tired sitting in the car from Klang to Sri Iskandar and now to Ipoh.  Then he decided to ask people which way lead to Ipoh.  Time showed 4:45 pm but we still don’t get there.  We were sitting in the car for about more than 1 hour! SIGH
FINALLY he decided to use the GPS.  He stops the car at the roadside and starts typing the address JAYA JUSCO IPOH.  Then there’s a voice saying the direction to be followed.  On the GPS monitor, it shows the path or ways that lead to Ipoh and the path is colored with red.  Whenever we take a wrong way, the GPS will give warning and recalculate to give another direction.
Finally we get there at 5:25 pm.  Since then, my dad always uses the GPS whenever he doesn’t know which road to be taken.

Just a little information dear readers…
GPS sometimes doesn’t really accurate in giving direction.  No matter how expensive a GPS device is, when it comes to getting where you want to go, it's really only as good as the satellite network and its map data. The first strike against GPS is that satellite signals aren't 100 percent accurate. They can't determine your precise location. They're pretty close though, within 164 to 328 feet (50 to 100 meters) [source:Corvallis Microtechnology Inc.].
Well not everyone knows how to use the GPS isn’t it?  Take a look at this..

Thanks for reading! :)

Let's Sing!

Dear readers…
Have you heard about MINILYRICS?

Well it is a type of software that allows you to read the lyric while playing the song in your laptop.  Quite interesting isn’t it?
I used to search lyrics manually at Google or find it at YouTube before.
I just knew about it about a month ago and I try to download and install it in my laptop.

Since I have downloaded it, I now can sing along with the lyrics run on my desktop during the songs being played.

It’s not that difficult to install Minilyrics.  You may find it in cnet.com or just simply type Minilyrics on Google.  Just download and install.  After that, you may run the software by playing a song in your laptop.  Simple isn’t it? :D

What can MiniLyrics do?
  • Show super cool scrolling lyrics, you can sing along with it.
  • Download and save lyrics in your mp3 files, you can view it on your iPod or iPhone.
  • Amazing translucency skins
  • Never expires, you can try it free and ignore the nagging registration notice
This is how the MiniLyrics looks alike when it runs along with song.

p/s: BIG thanks to him for giving me these tips. TQ ^^
